How to catch yellowtail snapper in South Florida
Drift a silverside on a light tandem-hook jig naturally with the current through a chum trail.

The method
This method targets yellowtail snapper by free-lining a whole silverside on a light tandem-hook jig. Chum and moving current create a feeding trail near reef structure, while the bait drifts naturally back from the anchored boat. The demonstrations below show the rig, bait placement and line-feeding technique.
